Connecting to Spirit: Seven Successful Personal Tools

Blessings and Greetings! Thanks for dropping by! Saying good bye to the effects of that last retrograde is not being done with any large amount of tears...lol. Talk about shifting energies! Without doubt, it had a huge impact on people's lives that will be felt for quite some time to come. One aspect that I've idly noted is an increased interest in finding out about one's Guides - connecting, interacting and communicating directly with them...not to mention who they actually are.

My own path has been quite diverse and the experimentation I've done equally so. What works for me may also work for you so, based on that premise, below is a short list of what have been essential elements in establishing and maintaining contact with Spirit... for me.

1) Establish your psychic "strong sense".  This is the primary means that Spirit (or our "Guides"; I use them interchangeably) willl use to communicate with us. If we begin to develop our skill level in that area, the contact is automatically strengthened. As always, request assistance if needed from Them. Wings For The Spirit has a great description of each, as well as some simple exercises designed to enhance each ability.

2) Dream Programming and Recall: To obtain specific answers, it is imperative that we are precise in our requests and questions to Spirit. Begin a 7 day experiment; Just before laying down to sleep, request that you are given the solution to a pressing problem, while your physical body sleeps, and an ability to recall and apply it when you awaken. Make note of any unusual intuitive actions you take, especially for information because this is one means Spirit uses to communicate with us....while we are in the dream state.

3) Interact with animals as often as possible: This is an energetic connection that is very real and many will confirm communication with their pet or other animals. An important aspect to consider here is simply that Spirit can take ANY form to interact and/or communicate with us. As I sit and write this, for instance, a brown rabbit is standing sentry about 10 feet from my living room window. I've watched my friend actually lounge like a cat only feet away while I talked. There are a number of "sacred spaces" that I enjoy visiting. Pack up a snack, request permission of the Guardians of that space to enjoy the beauty and then enjoy the snack!!!....but keep a small portion of everything. While there, empty your mind and request direct communication with the Guardians. Pay attention to animals and quiet voices in your mind. Time to leave, say a quick prayer of gratitude, toss out the remainder of your snack as an offering and request permission to return, if you choose.

4) Run energy at least every few days: A simple visualization of a chakra stimulates it into action. There are numerous methods of running energy through our bodies but central to them all is actually seeing or feeling it run from toe to head...or vice versa. White encompasses all colours and one can never go wrong with a white energy stream. This is important to clear away some of the "psychic sludge" that can easily build up over time. Consider it the equivalent of cleaning the sparkplugs on your car. Process Coaching has some great information on running energy as well as Robert Bruce, who initiated the New Energy Ways system that I have benefited from greatly.

5) Push Your Limits When Experimenting: It stands to reason that if we are actively pursuing a closer relationship with Spirit, They are also doing what They can to assist us. When encountering possible exercises, be diligent and objective. Always give yourself every chance to learn... so approach this experimentaton component as essential to your experience. As with the physical, our psychic senses also develop with repeated exercise and resistance. Spirit can use any form imaginable to get the right messages and information to us, so examine other forms of divination as well such as Tarot or Oracle cards, Scrying and Dowsing and Automatic Writing.

6) Explore Forms of "Spirit Travel" :  Most people commonly believe that any type of visualization is merely done in our minds...NOT SO. That reality we experience during a guided meditation/visualization is a very real place...as real as what you see around you in the physical world. As it applies to communication with Spirit, the possibilities are endless, if we view this other reality with this premise. A variant of the shamanic journey, my preferred method of travel, concentrating on the use of an actual image (I like National Geographic) and then transporting yourself there can be  an incredible experience. It was doing exactly that - using a non-descript picture from a calender - that allowed me to connect and interact consciously for the first time with a Guide. Astral projection can open up an entirely new world and the methods, once again, are many and varied. Robert Bruce, for instance, designed one specifically for blind people called The Tactile Method, which relies on touch, as opposed to sight. "Roll Over" is a good method while many other systems employ a form of energy transfer, from the physical to the astral vehicle. The point here is for you to just consider exploring this incredible door of discovery. Sometimes, when connecting with our Guides, we need to meet them part way.

7) Express Gratitude and Spread Light: This component cannot be overstated. The type of energy we attract, in our daily lives, is the same type we hold onto and present to the world. Take every opportunity to express gratitude for even the smallest of blessings - if an action or circumstance touched you significantly, you can be certain it was done so by Divine Design and, by extension, the work of Spirit. An incredibly powerful tool to attract this positive and uplifting energy, is to request the honor of sharing Creator's Love and Light with at least one soul when we leave the house. I can say honestly that each time I do this, I ALWAYS receive an incredible blessing of some form. Just as we appreciate an expression of gratitude for our efforts, Spirit enjoys it immensely as well. If you need a little help, I would highly suggest that you sign up for Go Gratitude's 42 Day Experiment and be diligent in your efforts. It made a very noticeable difference in my own spiritual growth.

 

This is hardly a comprehensive list but these are the key ingredients that enabled me to establish and maintain an open channel of communication with Spirit. Mastery never comes from dabbling so give yourself every opportunity to improve. Along the way, you may discover that your gifts include that of mediumship. From my own exploration of this part of me, it has been an incredible adventure of learning and growth. At this pivotal point in our history, situations present themselves in rapid order and often we can't detect the true nature of these things. It makes considerable sense to utilize the assistance of our Guides to gain the wisdom needed to progress spiritually... and ultimately realize our true purpose They have access to information we do not.

If you want the name of just one of your Spirit Guides....ASK. Request a specific type of signal - auditory, a physical sensation or visual - to alert you that They are ready to work. Treat them with the courtesy and respect that you would appreciate in return and you are well on your way to obtaining the real "insider's information.".

Raziel's Key

For the exercise component of this post, I was directed to share a visualization, courtesy of Ellie at Crystal Links. For me, it has proven quite intense - a remarkable experience that allowed me to directly connect to my "Higher Self".

Another segment of this post highlights Lord Raziel and this exercise was a channelled message to Ellie so I've posted it in the form it was written. Following this segment, Lord Raziel is the central focus and includes a short description of my own work with Him.

One of the beautiful aspects to the following exercise is that the time factor is limited only by you. My personal suggestion is to take a few minutes, at least, to look around. Shed any thoughts about the physical substance of what you're being shown. Take flight like an eagle if you get the urge! Based on personal experience, it is a good practice to look down at your hands. This gives you an indication of the form that your conciousness takes - while in that reality.

Archangel Raziel has a key for you.

Five dimensional data storage and multidimensionality

This is accomplished by using different wavelengths and polarities of light. People who have had experiences with what they believe to be other dimensions not normally accessed by us often describe the experience in terms of "a higher vibration" or even sometimes as "turning in another direction." Love alll things supernatural? It ought to be time to get yourself a Nintendo DSi then, as Sweden-based development studio A Different Game is working on a new title known as Ghostwire. A British woman lost 55 pounds after she was hypnotized to believe that she had weight-loss surgery. Marion Cornes, 35, said she believed surgeons had placed a gastric band on her stomach shrinking it to the size of a golf ball after paying $1,580 for five sessions with a hypnotherapist. Lord Raziel

Raziel, whose name means 'Secrets of the Lord", is an archangel within the teachings of Jewish mysticism, of the Kabbalah of Judaism, who is the "Keeper of Secrets" and the "Angel of Mysteries." In some teachings he is claimed to be a Cherub, as well as the chief of the Ophanim and is described as having blue wings, a glowing yellow aura around his head and wearing a grey robe which appears to have liquid-like properties.

He is associated with the Sephira Chokmah in Briah, one of the four worlds of Kabbalistic theory. His famous Sefer Raziel HaMalach ("Book of Raziel the Angel") contains all secret knowledge and is considered to be a book of "magic." He stands close by God's throne, and therefore hears and writes down everything that is said and discussed. He purportedly gave the book to Adam and Eve after they ate from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which resulted in their expulsion from the Garden of Eden, so the two could find their way back "home" and better understand their God. Raziel's fellow angels were deeply disturbed by this, and as such, stole the book from Adam and threw it into the ocean. God Himself decided not to punish Raziel, but instead, retrieved the book and returned it to Adam and Eve.

According to some sources, the book was passed on through the generations to Enoch (believed to have later become the angel Metatron), who may have incorporated his own writings into the tome. From Enoch, the archangel Raphael gave it to Noah, who used the wisdom within to build Noah's Ark. The Book of Raziel was last known to be in the hands of Solomon. It has since disappeared.

The name Archangel Raziel means 'Secret of God'.

Raziel's head is surrounded by a glowing yellow aura.

He wears a robe of gray material that seems to swirl as if made of liquid.

Raziel appears quite tall and has large sky-blue wings.

He is the ruler of the planet Neptune.

Raziel is one of the cherubim, the guardian of originality and the realm of pure ideas.

He is knowledgeable in several mystical arts and can explain the truth behind many occult truths in the universe.

One of the most interesting things Raziel can give you is an understanding of the energy currents in the magical universe and how to manipulate them to various ends.

He is called the personification of divine wisdom.

Raziel is the legendary author of The Book of the Archangel Raziel, wherein all celestial and earthly knowledge is set down. Raziel gave his book to Adam, after Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden. The book was then handed down from father to son until it became the property of Enoch, who gave it out as his own work, calling it The Book of Enoch.

Enoch passed Raziel's book to his son, Mathusala, who gave it to his son, Lamach, who gave it to his son, Noah.

Noah gained the knowledge to build the ark from Raziel's book.

Solomon was a later owner of Raziel's book and he learned from it great knowledge and power in magic.

In the Book of the Archangel Raziel, in the middle section, there occurs a secret writing explaining the 1,500 keys to the mystery of the universe.

On a personal note... Some months ago found me undergoing an intense spiritual "re-awakening"  and an entirely new form of learning. Without effort, I would find myself materialize in another location... standing outside of a temple-like structure with huge wooden doors. After journeying there for a number of weeks with the entity there I came to know as Serapis Bey, I arrived to find two additions to my roster of Mentors and Teachers. One of them was Lord Raziel.

His visual appearance is in blue/white tunic and trousers, a chiseled face with a stray lock of hair that seems to slide down one corner of his forehead. He has intimate knowledge of very specific types of sorcery (as in "working directly with Source Energy") that has helped open up an exciting new world for me. I've found him to be direct, enjoys a good joke and always has a willing ear. There is a certain mischievousness about Him that is almost childlike and innnocent. One of the most enjoyable experiences , for me, was to soar high over a jungle canopy with Him beside me and end up at an unusual altar at the top of a mountain. Lord Raziel is still a part of my Spirit guidance and getting to know more fully his areas of expertise is going to be a fascinating journey!

 

Inanna

Her Story

Inanna is the Sumerian goddess, honoured at the dark moon, as it is she who fixes destinies at each new moon. Inanna's journey into the underworld and subsequent revitalisation represents the soul's evolution through hardship into glorious renewal.

In her quest for clarity and knowledge, Inanna Queen of Heaven and Earth descended to Earth to rule her people, where (so that her people would not know hunger) she made a sacred marriage to ensure the fertility of the lands. She thirsted to understand first-hand though, the true sufferings of her followers, so she descended again, this time to the realm of the underworld, the domain of her sister Ereshkigal.

Ereshkigal only allowed Inanna entry on the condition that she shed her earthly attachments at each of seven gates to the underworld. So, at each gate, Inanna surrendered some part of what she thought made up herself: wealth, power, tributes. By the time she relinquished her final garment, she was no longer the commanding Queen, and, exposed and vulnerable, she was ready to die.

However, it was only when she was near death and at her most vulnerable did she discover new life and increased powers. She finally learned first-hand to accept her vulnerability, as well as the understanding of the necessity of sacrifice and death for the cycles of life to continue. These revelations increased her power, beauty and wisdom.
 

Her Modern Energy

If you are repeating old habits, ask Inanna to help you shed your layers that keep you trapped. Open yourself to a journey to the underworld where you can let go of old conditioning, release inhibitions, let alter-egos die, shed the burdens you carry... all to create anew - it is only by becoming aware of our vulnerabilities that we can rise up with strength gained from knowledge and understanding.

Reconnect With Your Inner Inanna

(Tip, do not get dressed again in the clothes you just shed - put them in the washing machine on "super wash"! And, try not to wear them again in the same combination).

For your wellbeing, and if you are so guided, share this process with a friend for support. Shedding old energies can be a very intense process.

You always offer such inspirational methods and suggestions to help folks find their inner peace within themselves and a special connection with nature.

Animals are wonderful to give us new perspectives and teach the quiet goodness of 'just being' or the happiness of 'just interacting'.

Lily (the kitten/cat) has brought such happiness to our family. We humans get a real treat out just simply watching her play with plants, bugs, rocks and toys.
Penny and her share a quiet understanding and on such a loving level.
Our girls are such a special gift to Guy & me.

I especially agree with you about connection with animals. As you know, I seem to have an affinity with wildlife (and with my cat Charlie) that defies explanation - and what the animals have to teach us is astounding. They epitomize the true reality of life, really, and they teach us how to live.
